New Home Sales Professionals | FAST Administrator | Purchasing Manager

FAST Administrator

Job Title: FAST Administrator

Department: Operations

Reports To: Director of Operations

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Meridian, Idaho


The FAST Administrator is responsible to support Hubble Homes associates, ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Supports Departments with all FAST: applications, processes, procedures, user training documents.

  • Designing and implementing processes and solutions associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis, modeling, and predicting to enable informed business decisions.
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions with business unit and end-user; document end-user requirements for data capture, program functions, data quality, reports and analysis
  • Meet with FAST users – ensure needs are being met
  • Set-up new associates in FAST & support with FAST navigation and tasks required in FAST

Create Reports & Training for our current utilization of InformXL (Excel Reports and access to FAST Data)

  • Support new needs to acquire information/data using report authoring software like our current use of InformXL or SSRS, Crystal Reports, etc.
  • Understand the current resources, and supplement as required

Responsible for the establishment or collection of the Documentation for the utilization of FAST.

Help maintain current and new Procedures / Processes to be used for:

  • Training New Associates
  • Smooth and Accurate Utilization of FAST and FAST Data

Writes and revises FAST policies and procedures as necessary.

Reviews, and monitors all FAST and FAST Sales use and data, along with other FAST Modules like Warranty Portal, Design Studio Manager, Field View, Etc.

Support departments by:

  • Trouble shoot data conflicts – to ensure data integrity/ Report integrity
  • Trouble shoot with Constellation, as required


  • Review Constellation Upgrades / Releases:
  • Support new Program implementations
  • Communicate and support new Features of FAST

Associate Training & Documentation

Support Trades as Required – Field View, Vendor Portal

  • Increase company efficiency, by using all the available FAST applications.


Authority is established by action criteria defined by others. Can purchase supplies and equipment up to $500 without counter-approval.

All new Program training documentation reviewed and approved by Department Manager to ensure compliance to company & department operating procedures and policies.


Reports to the Director. of Operations. Works in support with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Construction, Warranty, Land – as it relates to FAST utilization, and the needed reporting / data to support management information needs.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of MS SQL Server, MS Access, MS Report Writer and SQL transactional query
  • Experience in advanced competency with MS Excel spreadsheets (i.e., pivot tables, Excel VBA programming)
  • Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to research and prepare a variety of complex reports and analyses
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
  • Thorough understanding of Relational Databases and Database Normalization best practices, database technologies and concepts
  • Proficient with SQL Development - ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design (stored procs, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints)
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving database integrity and performance issues

Purchasing Manager

Job Title: Purchasing Manager

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring Hubble Homes, LLC is purchasing quality materials, labor, and service at the most competitive rate available in the market. The Purchasing Manager directs the activities of the purchasing department concerning the purchase of materials and subcontract labor to construct new homes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manages the Purchasing Process.

  • Collects and monitors competitive builder information by visiting jobsites and shopping the competition.
  • Maximizes Hubble Homes buying power through volume purchasing and value engineering in all markets, and maximizes the perceived value to cost ratio.
  • Evaluate the process of our vendors (even “map” their procedures) to identify possible waste or process improvements.
  • Maintains a master price book.
  • Develops, reviews, and tracks subcontractor and supplier contract negotiations.
  • Develops relationships with subcontractors committed to reducing cost and increasing service.
  • Develops bid lists and bid packages, and establishes bidding procedures and analysis.

Tracks all materials.

  • Reviews all material before it leaves the Estimating Department. Specifically reviews all cost estimates, to provide the Sales and Marketing team with accurate and timely information.

Responsible for the strategic planning for purchasing. a. Writes and revises purchasing policies and procedures as necessary.

Reviews, considers, and monitors all manufacturer’s and supplier’s rebate programs.


  • Assists in the design and costing of new models.
  • Completes special pricing requests accurately and within a reasonable timeframe.


Has the authority to hire, discipline, and fire employees within the purchasing department and in accordance with approved budgets and company policies. Has the authority to recommend addition or removal of suppliers, vendors, and trade partnerships.


Reports to the V.P. of Operations. Works in coordination with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Estimating and the President. Plans, organizes, directs, delegates and monitors the work of the Purchasing Department.


  • Five years of experience in purchasing, preferably in residential and/or commercial construction.
  • A CPM designation is highly desirable.
  • Understand pricing and the impact on capital.
  • Possess excellent relationship and communication skills.
  • Will present a positive image for the company, be a win-win thinker and good negotiator.
  • Will be creative and innovative, and respectful of co-workers, sub-contractors and suppliers
